In men, this type of infection can decrease the sperm count, reduce motility and increase the number of abnormal sperm (Fertil Steril, 1975; 26: 1212; Israel J Med Sci, 1978; 14: 347; Am J Obstet Gynecol, 1978; 130: 307)
These organisms have also been linked with an increased risk of miscarriage (Am J Obstet Gynecol, 1983; 145: 24-50).
