Re leg ulcers (WDDTY vol 15 no 5), I had leg ulcers for months. Years ago, they responded to paraffin gauze, but now this and other contact medications, including vitamin E and cream of any kind, cause an allergic reaction due to multiple chemical sensitivities.
However, an application of powdered comfrey root healed them rapidly in a few weeks, and they’ve never returned.
If the herbalist supplies granulated root, grind it to a powder, and apply to the ulcers once a day and bandage. Comfrey heals epithelial cells although, for healing fractures or internal organs, I recommend homoeopathic comfrey (Symphytum). - Helen Fullerton, Carmel, Llanelli
