Dr. Sally Blake LaMont is a naturopathic doctor, acupuncturist, and educator who has devoted the last twenty-seven years to practicing and teaching the principles of healthy living. She blends the science of naturopathic medicine with the ancient wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine. In addition to maintaining a clinical practice in Marin County, California, she teaches at San Francisco State University’s Department of Health Education.
As prior Executive Director of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association, Dr. LaMont spearheaded the successful legislative campaign to license naturopathic doctors (NDs) in California, setting professional standards and granting 37 million Californians access to naturopathic medical care. She received the "Naturopathic Physician of the Year" Award in 2001 from the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians for her leadership and contribution to shaping health policy in the United States. As a consultant to the natural products industry, she provides expertise in integrating nutraceuticals into clinical practice.
Dr. LaMont has served on numerous boards, including Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, Marin Health Council and the Advisory Board for the Integrative Health Studies at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Known for her passionate delivery, Dr. LaMont’s services include speaking engagements at conferences and retreats, designing personalized natural treatment protocols for her patients, natural products industry consulting, healthy cooking classes and detoxification programs.
Dr. LaMont is a 1981 graduate of the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon and the Emperor’s College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Monica, California in 1986.
